Car conversion process

The first step in converting the vehicle to a passenger car is preparing the vehicle project. You should send a photo of the vehicle registration document to the WhatsApp line of the branch closest to you to get preliminary information and an appointment. We let you know whether the vehicle is eligible based on the information you send. If you wish, you can also check whether your vehicle is eligible for conversion yourself in the eligibility check section of our website. If the vehicle is eligible, you should come to our branch by appointment.

After the project, the vehicle’s exhaust emission procedure must be carried out. You need to have a 2-year exhaust inspection done. No appointment is required for the exhaust emission inspection.

After the vehicle project and exhaust procedures are completed, the vehicle goes to the TÜVTÜRK modification inspection. You need to make an appointment for this. The modification inspection replaces the general inspection and is valid for 2 years.

In the final stage, within 7 days at the latest after the modification inspection, the registration change is made at the notary. The light-truck registration is converted to a passenger car, its type becomes passenger car, and the registration document is reissued.

After the registration change at the notary, insurance procedures are carried out. Insurance is taken out with the new registration. You need to get detailed information from your insurer.
